What is MemberGrove?
MemberGrove is a WordPress membership plugin by Seamless AMS. It helps you sell memberships, protect content and files, manage your members, and keep track of payments — from your WordPress admin.
Can I switch from MemberPress?
Yes. The built-in migration brings across settings, memberships, access rules, transactions, reminders, protected files, and member data. Run a dry run first, confirm your database backup, migrate, and then verify the results. Email and Mailchimp remain on hold until you are ready.
Can I offer free memberships?
Yes. You can create unlimited free or paid membership levels, with lifetime access, a set duration, or a fixed expiry date. Memberships can also be organized into groups.
Does MemberGrove support offline payments?
Yes. Record payments received by check, cash, or bank transfer. A pending payment does not activate the membership until you mark it received. PayPal and manual payments are also supported.
Does it require a licence key or track my site?
No. MemberGrove has no licence key, no telemetry, and no phoning home. Its Info screen shows what the plugin knows about your site. Your member data stays in your WordPress installation.
Can I test changes before going live?
Yes. Access rules can run in observe mode, evaluating and logging without blocking anyone. Outbound email and Mailchimp requests can be held, and migration offers a dry run that does not write any data.
